Hi I booked round trip tickets to california for me and my spouse a few months in advance. They were a good deal at the time-leaving from philly stopping in texas and ending in LA, and same thing on the return flights. The tickets cost $340 for the two of us plus $40 travel insurance for the both of us. We booked the flights and figured if we didn't want to go we could cancel them no problem with the travel insurance. Turns out we don't want the flights (its a lot of traveling and the dates don't work for us ) and now we find out the travel insurance only gives refunds if you are either dead or lost your job or something similar and our situation doesn't qualify. Priceline and United each told us that the only way to change dates on the tickets is to incur a $250 cost per person which wouldn't be worth it for the small amount we paid for the tickets themselves. The tickets leave october 20th ....Any ideas of how to get out of this ?
