American Express Gold Premier Rewards promo code?

I just opened Amex Express Gold - this is my first Amex Card. I registered with a promo code for 50,000 bonus Membership Rewards points after $1,000 in purchases after 3 months. I realize now there is a better promo, promo code 6661 for 75,000 Membership Rewards points after $1,000 in purchases after 3 months. I am going to email Amex to try and change promo code --- is this the best one out there?

The title says Premiere rewards the post says amex gold. They are two separate cards,which did you get?

did you get the 50,000 in the first place or thru matching. because usually they won't match twice.

I got premier gold --- I applied originally for 50,000 as their sign on bonus.

So just call in with ID 6661. shouldn't be a problem at all.

I emailed them about promo 6661 and they responded with great news, "I have checked into your Card account ending in XXXXX and see that the promotional offer associated with your Card account is "get 50,000 Membership Rewards bonus points after spending $1,000 within the first three months of Cardmembership."

I understand that we are also offering "75,000 Membership Rewards bonus points after spending $1,000 in the first three months of Cardmembership."

I would like to assure you that we will honor you this new promotional offer.

I would request you to please write to us after you have met the spending of $1000.00 on your account and we will issue an additional 25,000 points to your account."
