Need help canceling my meuchedet insurance that I signed up for and cannot seem to reach the right dept. Every number I try end up waiting till rep answers and says will connect to another dept and the line disconnects and when I call back same cycle again...thanx

go to the office on amos (or wtvr the street is over there in geula) sit down by any of the desks right when u walk in, they all speak decent english and they are there to help ppl. i know its uncommen, but they try to help and make life easier. there very good to work with in that office

not a good idea to rack up bills in any country, bear in mind your bill keeps on growing while you are not there even with a cancelled credit card.
I would suggest you Send in a fax with your details explaining you want to close etc and call in a few days later to check if they recieved etc

if you come back to israel at any time in the future to live and want to use meuchedet again, you might have problems

I also found that the office in geulah on Amos, (or Malachi is it?) were the only people I've encountered that actually cared and tried helping me out. I needed to sign up that day so my wife could see a doctor, and they did it for me on the spot

there number is 025312777 press 0, they are open till 8pm, chanukah might be different.

As of last year you could cancel by emailing TouristJer@meuhedet.co.il but at that point they said that they can take up to a month to cancel so you might pay for another month.
