@Yisroel Tech @DH Data Recovery

anything one should beware of with this type of item?

how do I ensure compatibility with Probook 430 G3?

It is not about "compatibility", there is no AC power plug in this thingy.

no AC plug output, but it seems to have a direct 'laptop' output, designed to be compatible with many/most HP laptops

The normal HP charging cable has that type of input connector?

Anyhow certainly don't expect this to charge a laptop to full etc... A laptop is much more power hungry than that..

cable doesn't have that type of input, but does have that type of output connector

not questioning, you're saying that a laptop whose usual battery is 2,200/4,400 MaH will consume more than 18,000 MaH?
what size pack would a laptop need?

The adapter has this kind of connector to connect to the laptop's power jack? Then how's he gonna connect the laptop to this battery pack?

I'm now an expert in power specs...so I'm not sure myself, but is what I remember reading.

But see for instance this pack has a spec of 50000mAh/185Wh, I'm now exactly sure how to read it but based on this the 18000 is barely 44 WHr that the laptop battery is. No?

it seems like these pictures (from here https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1273851-REG/hp_m6h77aa_abc_hp_power_p.html#rv)

In terms of calculating power rating:
the regular AC adapter is input 100v output 19.5v
considering this outputs straight into laptop (so it seems) wouldn't the operating number be the 19.5?
or am I misunderstanding this?

here http://store.hp.com/wcsstore/hpusstore/pdf/m6h77aa.pdf it's listed as
Quote
• 67.7 watt hours of energy equivalent to 18000 mAh
which I'm guessing compares to the laptop's own battery being 40wh or so
