Please Help Keep Hebrew A Supported Language On Kindle Direct Publishing

Hi All,

Sorry for bothering but we can use your help here, let me explain what is going on:

KDP (Kindle Direct publishing) is a print-on-demand book publishing platform which is a great tool for small publishers or authors to sell books cost effectively, until now there was another company called CreateSpace which was acquired by Amazon in 2005 but operated completely separate until this year

the issue?

• CreateSpace used to support Hebrew while KDP did not
• Now amazon is in the process of merging CreateSpace into KDP
• KDP Does not support Hebrew for printed books(or yiddish) https://kdp.amazon.com/en_US/help/topic/G200673300

I'm involved in a non-profit which which greatly benefited from CreateSpace selling various Hebrew books, now that opportunity is likely sunsetting, i'm asking you to please take 2 minutes to petition to KDP (Amazon) to support hebrew for new published books.

Dear Amazon/KDP,

I have been a customer buying printed books in Yiddish and Hebrew sold on Amazon and printed through CreateSpace. Now, with CreateSpace merging into KDP these languages are not supported anymore.

Unlike widely used languages, minority languages need the support of the print-on-demand system to be able to grow and flourish and to make reading material accessible to its users I implore you to please reconsider, and include Yiddish and Hebrew in the list of languages supported by KDP -- specifically for print.

At this time, we're unable to publish books in Yiddish and Hebrew language on KDP. While books in this language can be published through other channels on Amazon, we don't endorse or recommend specific channels.

I apologize for the disappointment this may cause. I hope you understand our limitations.

Please know that CreateSpace supported some languages that Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) does not. Available CreateSpace books written in unsupported languages moved to KDP and remain available with no interruptions to your sales. On KDP, these books appear "on hold” and you’re no longer able to make changes.

We're continually working to expand our publishing tools to include the number of languages available to our worldwide customers. Please check our forums periodically for updates on newly supported languages:
