Wow, they are getting downright dirty. Just booked a stay in January 2020 And the cancel by date for a refund is 2/27/19!!!

How does Marriot even let that???

Wow, this is ridiculous. Marriott should not allow this. Who can make unchanged plans for a hotel stay this far without a reasonable cancelation policy.

How many nights? Seems like more than 2 nights and/or a Saturday night is triggering the 1 day cancellation clause.

As a separate point, it’s amazing how they removed the deluxe room inventory for any availability (till a few days prior).

Hotel is not available on points for the 2 nights that I want, but if I extend my stay for 5 nights then there is availability.
Marriot told me over the phone that if I need to cut my stay short I should just tell the hotel while I am there. They will then reissue the certificate for the time that I actually spent at the hotel.
Has anyone ever done this?
I do not want to be out an extra 120k points!

sure, make the reservation and as soon as it's confirmed you can call to remove the rest of the nights, out of curiosity what are your dates?

I'm looking for the 23-24 one night, motzai shabbos.
