They do seem to take odd pleasure in saying no to requests.
With that professional face too. Real POS's. One nice female manager, who did me the big favor on Friday afternoon of getting my room ready at 330 instead of 4 o'clock (titanium elite).

I got the major favor as a titanium of an 1130am checkout for 1 of my 2 rooms, and then noon as a final offer when asking in person. No upgrades, natch.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

I always wondered what happens if you simply don't leave the room for a bit... Likely nothing. Was thinking of doing that over shabbos when they wanted to force me out of the 2 queen bed to the king, not like they can charge me for that... Regardless it makes no sense that with them basicalyl not allowing late checkout, they can't get the rooms ready in time.. Maybe it saves them on the cost of the housekeeping people...

Is there anyway we can get Marriott corporate's attention to them? For basically not offering the bennies...

Same here, as a Titanium as well... 11:30AM checkout because the room is already "committed"

I've overstayed in many hotel rooms, housekeeping is generally pretty quick to show up but they don't put up a fuss when you ask them to come back a bit later.

I mean is there anyone who pays full dollars for a room in this hotel? Not surprising that the management doesn't care.

I think the worst i ever had was at Intercontinental TLV where half hour before checkout someone called me to remind me of the noon checkout. And at 10 past noon another call saying: 'you know that late check out cost $xx, so we're going ahead and charging your room?'

The service is way below what Mariott should be giving for the points paid.

I wonder if the hotel owner is trying to get Mariott to walk away from the management contract or vv.

I did a couple non-Jews here and there over the week. Pool was straight out of Lawrence though.

Nah, probably everything was sold out and they overbooked assuming they'd give some upgrades.
