They do seem to take odd pleasure in saying no to requests.
I got the major favor as a titanium of an 1130am checkout for 1 of my 2 rooms, and then noon as a final offer when asking in person. No upgrades, natch.
I always wondered what happens if you simply don't leave the room for a bit... Likely nothing. Was thinking of doing that over shabbos when they wanted to force me out of the 2 queen bed to the king, not like they can charge me for that... Regardless it makes no sense that with them basicalyl not allowing late checkout, they can't get the rooms ready in time.. Maybe it saves them on the cost of the housekeeping people...Is there anyway we can get Marriott corporate's attention to them? For basically not offering the bennies...
I've overstayed in many hotel rooms, housekeeping is generally pretty quick to show up but they don't put up a fuss when you ask them to come back a bit later.
I mean is there anyone who pays full dollars for a room in this hotel? Not surprising that the management doesn't care.
The service is way below what Mariott should be giving for the points paid. I wonder if the hotel owner is trying to get Mariott to walk away from the management contract or vv.
I seriously cannot fathom anyone paying 2k a night for this place.
I got upgraded to a 2 bedroom royal suite, booked on points used a sna to get me grand Lux. At check in asked if anything available and she upgraded to the suit. 2 night stay
wow! When was this? Status?
I bet she will be unemployed by noon
Nah, probably everything was sold out and they overbooked assuming they'd give some upgrades.
