I think the worst i ever had was at Intercontinental TLV where half hour before checkout someone called me to remind me of the noon checkout. And at 10 past noon another call saying: 'you know that late check out cost $xx, so we're going ahead and charging your room?'Can't beat the Israeli hospitality
Lemeridien dead sea used to send the security guard around
Nah, probably everything was sold out and they overbooked assuming they'd give some upgrades.
I got upgraded to a 2 bedroom royal suite, booked on points used a sna to get me grand Lux. At check in asked if anything available and she upgraded to the suit. 2 night stay
@danfan5773 has it all figured out. He asked for a low floor for shabbos and got the 19th floor.Next time he'll be sure to ask for a high floor for shabbos!
Anyone try asking for a non-kosher breakfast to see what happens?
they give it on their restaurant near the pool
I always wondered what happens if you simply don't leave the room for a bit... Likely nothing. Was thinking of doing that over shabbos when they wanted to force me out of the 2 queen bed to the king, not like they can charge me for that... Regardless it makes no sense that with them basicalyl not allowing late checkout, they can't get the rooms ready in time.. Maybe it saves them on the cost of the housekeeping people...Is there anyway we can get Marriott corporate's attention to them? For basically not offering the bennies...
When I went last year, the entire lobby was filled with Jews and their bags waiting until 4pm to check-in. Nobody was able to check in even a minute earlier.
It's lehachis at this point.
At the end of the day, it's a beautiful hotel and a great location. I would stay there again.
Do only Jews get this treatment?
After getting a note at my door for express check out mentioning late check unavailable I called and gave me till 1
They must love you! Are you staying with your own status or someone elses?
