Why shouldn’t they? It’s not like they’re losing rooms that way.But giving elite benefits actually effects their bottom line, so they need to find a way out.
not if they think that those customers would be paying cash otherwise...
I am currently staying here and bought somebody’s free nights who is platinum. Upon checkin they told me that unless the person who is platinum member shows up to the hotel I won’t get any platinum benefits (i.e. room upgrade, free breakfast, 4pm late checkout).I didn’t put up a fight but is that accurate?
Would they honor the third party's guest status if the account used to book it is Platinum, and the guest staying is Gold, for example?
You can book point rooms for anyone.
Any ideas on how to get them to open the secind night. Booked one night and now need second. Thats the only night that week that is not available. A random Tuesday night.
I called reservations dept and they opened a night for me to end my stay.
Hotel reservation dept or Marriott?
Now get ready for the hotel to get bombarded with requests to open rightfully qualified award rooms.

Quotes in a signature is annoying, as it comes across as an independent post.

Could someone explain why this is such an attractive hotel location?
בעצם, why is the St Regis better than the Ritz Carlton?
