A line has to be defined between having a room and selling it as a courtesy when there is no availability and selling a room to turn a profit when there is no availability.

Yes, I have been checking daily, I guess people are speculating on booking multiple rooms .

Aren't these rooms non-cancellable in less than 30 days?  How can people be booking them up without risk to their money or points?  Or is this different for more elite members?

They do not charge the card when you book? If they do and it is expired then it will be declined, am I missing something? Thanks

They don't charge (unless its a prepaid)but I've seen a lot of merchants doing like a quick test (not sure what the right term is) to see if its a valid card.

That too but that only comes up when your try to complete a order, i was talking about when u finish entering your cc it takes a 2nd and tells you if the card is valid without any pending charges.
