You can vote without ID but can't fly without ID? Minors fly all the time without ID!
I agree, ridiculous. Voter ID should be required

But not adults

I have. You can try and report back.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

I'm pretty shocked. Didn't think it was possible to fly without id
A few years ago my wife forgot her ID at home. Going from JFK they made her go true more security but coming back from LAS they didn’t seem to care.

I would suggest that someone without TSA Pre might get through faster with no ID than standing on a 30+ minute security line.

I've done it in the past, but dont recommend it, even if its just being banned from the airline its not worth it.

https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/identification

In the event you arrive at the airport without valid identification, because it is lost or at home, you may still be allowed to fly. The TSA officer may ask you to complete an identity verification process which includes collecting information such as your name, current address, and other personal information to confirm your identity. If your identity is confirmed, you will be allowed to enter the screening checkpoint. You will be subject to additional screening, to include a patdown and screening of carry-on property.

anyone know if the tsa shares info with the airline on who passed through security?
the Q is if one goes through security with a refundable ticket will the airline know that the ticket being used never went through security?

Few years ago, one of my brothers was supposed to fly with my grandma, Ewr-Yyz.
At the past moment my father decided it was better for a different brother to go. He simply flew on the first brothers passport. No problem;)))
(Ya I know that might have been a little reckless;)
