She was going anyways I assume, or she could've overnighted it. Guess you weren't staying in a hotel.
Originally she wasn't going to join me, and changed her mind a day later. I was on a company trip, I don't recall what happened at the hotel, they might have accepted a fax.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Wouldn't they tell you to go home and get I'd?

There was no time for that.

I'm pretty shocked. Didn't think it was possible to fly without id

You can vote without ID but can't fly without ID? Minors fly all the time without ID!

Right, but I wouldve thought that they'd tell you too bad. Sounds like a solid workaround. Did you have to convince the tsa agents, or they were chilled about it?

I agree, ridiculous. Voter ID should be required

A few years ago my wife forgot her ID at home. Going from JFK they made her go true more security but coming back from LAS they didnít seem to care.

I would suggest that someone without TSA Pre might get through faster with no ID than standing on a 30+ minute security line.

I've done it in the past, but dont recommend it, even if its just being banned from the airline its not worth it.

https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/identification

In the event you arrive at the airport without valid identification, because it is lost or at home, you may still be allowed to fly. The TSA officer may ask you to complete an identity verification process which includes collecting information such as your name, current address, and other personal information to confirm your identity. If your identity is confirmed, you will be allowed to enter the screening checkpoint. You will be subject to additional screening, to include a patdown and screening of carry-on property.

anyone know if the tsa shares info with the airline on who passed through security?
the Q is if one goes through security with a refundable ticket will the airline know that the ticket being used never went through security?
