Anyone fly Egypt air? They seem to have pretty cheap business tickets and wide open via points. (You can then fly into Isreal for cheap as well) is Egypt air a good airline? Safe?

I flew it in shorthaul J on two segments. Was actually pleasantly surprused. No issues at all. They even loaded a ksml for me but I slept thru the meal service

Ive heard connections are an issue however if u leave the airport not an issue at all. I had a scheduled 7 hour layover and had a guide pick me up amd tour Cairo for over 4 hours and had plenry of time in the lounge afterwards.

Used it to fly economy CAI-JFK, was pretty much a empty flight and I felt secured by the above. If your not leaving the airport then its perfectly OK and safe. I put tifillin on, in public in the airport, with no issues. If your leaving the airport its still safe put use common sense and prepare for some touristy harassment.
Exactly how are you connecting from Egypt to TLV ?

They only have 2 planes and only fly to Israel.

They aren't a "real" airline. They belong to Air Egypt who don't want to be too overt about the fact that they fly to Israel so they created a "new" airline. The route is sometimes serviced by Air Egypt livery planes.

Air Sinai is an airline based in Cairo, Egypt. It operates as a 'paper-airline' for parent company EgyptAir under a wet lease-like agreement. From wiki.

Yes there is flight but extremely expensive.

You can call Egypt air @ the NYC office
You'll give them your info and you can complete the booking via email with the ticketing office with a cc [this per the phone rep I spoke to]

CAI - TLV. 8:55am-10:15am
TLV-CAI 11:05am-12:30pm

Prices
OW - $339
RT - $468

I was told prices to not fluctuate by date

Note that the JFK-CAI flight lands 12:05pm, so no luck on a short connection but for a 1 day tour might be ok

If any 1 can report back if its possible to book it as a connecting, would be gr8.
