Was in Elad today. At the exit to the city, someone had set up tents and piled up boxes high, with a large sign in Ivrit advertising free equipment, non-perishable food, and water for soldiers. (I assume there are soldiers still passing through or it would be irrelevant.) Amazing!

:'(

If you only look, there are hundreds of Kiddush Hashem stories with "unconnected" Jews all over the world these days...

We flew from YYZ to EWR, and the flight attendant came over to my wife and asked her, "Are you the mother of these kids?" (5 of them). My wife thought to herself, "Uh-oh, what did we do wrong now?" but he continued how he has been an FA for 17 years and how most people just treat him like part of the woodwork, and the only way he exists is if they need his help getting luggage into the bin. He said that it is only the orthodox Jewish kids who say hello to him and good evening etc. and treat him like a person. He ended up bringing my kids to the cockpit after .

11 years ago I took my kids in business class to TLV. (our 1st DDF trip and business saver was cheaper than standard economy)
The FA complemented me over their politeness and good manners.
As proud as I was that we made a kiddush Hashem, it was a boost in the arm as a parent that they showed such good behavior in public. (when they could tear each other apart in private)

I know someone who donated a kidney a year-and-a-half ago. His wife donated a kidney today.

Just over a year ago my sister donated a kidney (which, to me, is a weird phrase and there should be something better) and last week another sister donated a kidney.

Today's kidney was the third donation this month that Renewal was involved in where the spouse also donated previously. As mind blowing as that sounds, it's really not surprising as when one sees a loved one donate a kidney and literally save a life, and then live a 100% normal life afterwards, it's that much easier for them to want to also donate.
I speak from experience  ;)
