Slovakia Master Thread

Anyone been to Bratislava? I am going to Vienna and I want to go to the Chasam Sofer's Kever in Bratislava. Is it worth staying overnight in Bratislava or should I just stay in Vienna and go straight back? Is there anything worth seeing there?

There are definitely things to see. Not a crazy idea to stay overnight

There’s a decently nice hotel on the river not far from the chasam sofer that u can stay with points. Wasn’t expensive when it was under spg

Gonna be there in next month. If u find any interesting attractions to do post them on the thread

Don't think there is anything other then the Chasam Sofer.
Make sure to contact the Jewish community in advance to arrange a time for the Chasam Sofer or you will find a locked gate.

Ended up going to the Chasam Sofer. Also down the block and up some stairs (7 min walk) there is a Jewish cemetery that has the kevers of the Chasam Sofer's son the Katav Sofer and also his son. After that we drove to Vienna's old town (less than an hour drive). We went into the old shul which is beautiful (u need someone on the inside to let you in as they rarely let visitors in). We then ate next door at Aleph Aleph Restaurant. Very nice owner and good food. On Wednesdays they have a buffet for 25 Euros.
