Author Topic: Do you keep Nittel Nacht? (Read 8730 times)

Some don't consider Chabad as a mainstream Jewish community but if you do, that's a lot of people who do only 25th in countries where the Christians celebrate on the 25th (such as the US, Israel and Western Europe).
In countries where the Christians celebrate Jan 6th, I believe Chabad only does Nittel then.

OK, i never knew. but i added it, and Chabad gained i few Chasidim, because i put it in the paragraph were it said No

I never understood why.

Prior to the year 1900 everyone held Nittel on the 5th. After that everyone switched to the 6th(Because of the calendar..) Even Belz. Then after the War Belz switched backed to the 5th.
