I am in the process of planning a long trip for this summer that will require a car rental. My current plan is for the trip to be 26-29 days long and has some uncertainty as to the end date. When looking at car rentals it appears that with many of the companies there is a significant difference between monthly rates (where available) and 4x weekly rates for a 28 or 29 day rental. If I reserve a car for 29 days with a prepaid reservation a number of companies state “no refunds for unused days” in the terms and conditions which I interpret as they won’t reprice at current weekly/daily rates if I return it a couple of days early. I understand that things have likely changed with the pandemic but any experience or advice about how to approach what may end up being a 25-26 day rental would be appreciated.
FYI – rental would begin and end at LAS.
