How about the Beyond Burger? Pretty solid IMO. Ate one almost every day last week.

I had one last week and thought it tasted like a slightly better version than most veggie burgers that have been around for years (morning star style)

Must not have been made right. It's not meat by any means, but it's definitely a different tier than your run of the mill veggie burger.

Some real life reviews, rather than those with an agenda.

Here are some of the best quotes IMHO:

"The vegan burger just tasted like a crappy fast food burger dressed in way too much ketchup."

"The Impossible Whopper looked like a burger, felt like a burger and tasted like soup."

Who comes up with this crap. The reason they call it "impossible" is because it will never taste like a real burger.

People with a BS agenda, such as:

Quote
The Impossible Burger really stands out with its carbon foot. It uses 95 percent less land and 74 percent less water, while creating 87 percent less greenhouse gas emissions than a beef option.

Yes but we can put cheese on it, that's a big deal.

There are plenty of things one can put cheese on.

I was just pointing out how useless your post was. Take my word for it. I've tried the Impossible burger with Cheese. It ain't worth it (definitely not the premium charged). I'd faster have a fried fish sandwich (which I probably didn't have in well over a decade or two) than another one of those.

I've also had it with cheese at a couple of milchig restaurants, they were all mediocre. I'm waiting until I can get my hands on it myself to give it a shot. The problem is that most milchig places don't know how to make a good burger so adding cheese isn't going to do much.

The commenters in the Tampa Bay article I quoted above tried one made by Burger King. Some of them echoed my experience, though none mentioned the after effects.

I think the picture tells more than people credit it for. Look at the edges of the impossible burger. There's no way something that looks like that can taste any better than "dry" "crappy fast food".

Burger King, a real bastion of fine cuisine.

Burger King, a real bastion of fine cuisine.

So you really think any fine restaurant with self respect would offer it?

There's no way something that looks like that can taste any better than "dry" "crappy fast food".

Or as one of the commenters put it

Quote
if you add enough ketchup to anything, it hides all of the sins

Or in Jewish קים ליה בדרבה מיניה.
