I've also had it with cheese at a couple of milchig restaurants, they were all mediocre. I'm waiting until I can get my hands on it myself to give it a shot. The problem is that most milchig places don't know how to make a good burger so adding cheese isn't going to do much.
The commenters in the Tampa Bay article I quoted above tried one made by Burger King. Some of them echoed my experience, though none mentioned the after effects.
I think the picture tells more than people credit it for. Look at the edges of the impossible burger. There's no way something that looks like that can taste any better than "dry" "crappy fast food".
