Not traveling back in time. No one from the future has done it.

Never. Visiting the future (at a faster pace than usual) in some definition or another may be at some point, but that's the extent of it.

Never. I don't either believe that time is a thing. But there are smarter people than me that argue.

Would you go back in time and kill Hitler as a child? It would save millions of lives of those who perished in the holocaust, but would simultaneously eliminate millions of people alive today whose parents would never have met, likely including you. Of course if you donít exist you could never have travelled back in time to kill Hitler....

From a chassidus/kabbala perspective, the past and future do not exist (aside for their affect on the present). So although it is possible to change the past (by changing the way it impacts the present) time travel as popularly understood is not possible.

Unless when you go back you go into a different timeline that's independent of this one.

If you look at life like a comic strip, or any book for that matter, it may help. You can read the book in any order, flip to the end, do as you wish, but it will have no bearing on the actual story. Being able to see the future doesn't mean you have the power to change it. G-d may very well have that power, but we are told he doesn't exercise it, as we have free will.

  • Location: The value of a forum such as this one is not in that one can post a question and receive an answer, but in that the question has most likely been asked before, and the answer is available to him that will but only use the search function.
  • Programs: 1. Search on google. 2. Search in the right board of DDF with a general word or two. 3. Read the wiki. 4. Read the thread. 5. Ask away.
