Remember seeing that a protracted divorce with a straight split of stocks would have been very detrimental to the value of amazon.
Their kids (or designated charities) are in line for the fortune anyways.
Their kids would be better off trading in 70 billion for two happy loving parents who are together. I’ll bet they (and Jeff) would be better off if the whole bookstore thing had been a flop. I feel bad for them. As far as Bezos, what a lowlife. He threw away 25 years of a marriage and his families (and his own) happiness because he couldn’t control the smallest part of his body. He’s the laughingstock of all the tabloids. And for what? A fling with a woman who is turning 50. In a few short years she’ll be old and wrinkled and complaining of all the old people complaints; that is, if he doesn’t dump HER for something flashier that catches his eye. By then he’ll likely be alienated from some of his kids.
As far as Lauren goes, she will always be looking over her shoulder knowing that if he dumped his wife of 25 years when she caught his eye, he would do it to her in a heartbeat when the next one comes along. And it’s not even in her control. Woe is to her if she takes ill or has a time when she isn’t looking her best. Stupid move for both of them.
Bezos is just a lowlife who happens to have a lot more money than many of the other lowlives who throw away everything in the heat of the moment.
