When your father is worth millions of dollars you can afford to hire lawyers for just an "apology".
My question is, why fly spirit if you have money? they got cheap tickets and have to pay for a lawyer now

Really?? Is the family's personal financial situation a thing to be discussed now?

There are certain blanket attitudes on this forum that often don't take into account individuals' needs/desires. This crops up when discussing the value of points/miles, and blanket statements like "there is never a good reason to fly Spirit," which is all good and well until you need to book a flight at a busy time for the whole family and all other airlines are either sold out or charging more than 4 times the price, etc.

Or TTN (Frontier)

When I flew Frontier it was for TTN and no other reason.

Closest airport to Lakewood with commercial flights.

ACY
Worry less about traffic OTW to the airport, very fast to gate even without GE, walk from parking 30 seconds and it'll cost you less too.
All in all, flying from ACY is much less of a headache and you don't have to give yourself extra time in case something goes wrong.

Exactly this. ACY is great for families. EWR/JFK is a guaranteed headache, while Spirit flights are not usually bad.

They should've definitely flown private. Starting with a helicopter from their front lawn to the FBO.

Closest bus station (or at least that's what it looks like) to Lakewood with commercial flights.
FTFY

Best thing about it is that you can walk from your car to the airport in 30 seconds, and you can walk through the entire airport in one minute.

NYS Assemblymembers Daniel Rosenthal (D-Queens), Amy Paulin (D- Westchester), Simcha Eichenstein (D- Brooklyn), and Senator Simcha Felder (D-Brooklyn), wrote a letter to Rick Cotton, Executive Director of the Port Authority of NY & NJ and Steve Dickson, Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration, urging them to conduct an investigation on recent allegations of antisemitic actions taken by airlines.

They should just put a focus on raising the minimum age required to wear a mask.

They're state legislators, not federal. Dont think they themselves could do much about the 2 year old rule.
