Many options. Belaggio is a popular destination.
+1 don't just go to Como. It is dreary compared to Belaggio.
It's a pretty scary drive in a one lane two way road on the side of a mountain. But well worth it

Anything closer that's nice to see? To Belaggio it's an hr and half from MXP,  I have a 10 hr stop I guess it's enough time, how long do you hang out at Lake Como?

And this is all possible with a 10 hr stop?

You can do an hour. Two. Or your whole stopover. But I'd give 2 hours for each way.

sounds good. To there I have a chauffeur that EK will provide, but what are the options to return to MXP or to the kosher restaurant in Milan?

I emailed the Belaggio boat tour, and they said that their boats are going under yearly maintenance. I am going in the beginning of February, anything to do there besides boat tours or are there other boat tours?

Not much to do there. It's just insanely beautiful and a cute little town.
I went for a swim, but I doubt you can do that in February

So it wouldn't pay to travel around 2 hrs there from Milan and back in February?

Heading to Milan from Israel for the weekend tomorrow morning (5/11/16). Spending first day in Milan Central (food, shopping), then heading to Como at night. Waking up in Como on Thursday with two (almost full - except travel for Shabbat) days to spend in the lake region. Was originally planning one day trip to Lake Lugano (Switzerland) as it is a 40 minute train from Como, and then on Friday, to do a boat tour of the Bellagio portion of the lake (with a stop in the town itself). Back to Milan on Friday afternoon for Shabbat where we will be staying at the Milan Marriott Hotel and being hosted for Shabbat meals by the Chabad house. Shabbat day we will simply walk around and see the main attractions (Duomo...) until Shabbat afternoon where we will be back to Chabad for meals. Saturday night all restaurants closed this time of year, so we will be getting kosher gellatto and then heading to MXP for a stay at Moxy Milan Malpensa for our Sunday flight at noon.

Any recommendations or contacts for food/tours in either region (central/lakes)? Was probably going to eat at Denzel (Meat - Kosher) for Wednesday afternoon/night.

Also - it may rain the entire time, anyone have experience with milan/lakes in the rain?

TIA

Carmel is the best choise in Milan IMO. I had the Cheese ravioli in pink sauce which was very good, Bruschette fresh tomato
which if you like garlic is amazing, and they make a deep fried calzone which is like a doughnut with pizza inside which is a must have it was very unique and delicious.

I agree but thought the actual pizza was an embarrassment to Italy.

Any pics?  The food situation there is a bit sad. It's a pity.

Didn't take any pictures
Portions were small and they have a huge menu so most of the stuff are probably frozen but everything was decent

Maybe for meat. The breakfast "situation" in My Kafè is great.
