Villa Desta and Grand Hotel Termezzo are the nicest hotels on Lake Como.

I think there is a kosher program(s) near Lake Garda, which is considered more scenic but less social.

I see on line that itís 37 minutes by train from Como to  Milan. I wonder if it makes sense to travel in for dinners?

Villa Desta is sold out and Grand is 1100 euro per night 😳

Few updates, as I am here now on business;

1. Re Salomone  has closed down, replaced by 'BaGhetto' - a branch of the Rome chain. Amazing food, really tasty, great experience. I had a tasting menu for 45 EUR which included a starter of fried zucchini and dried meat, followed by pasta with meat and tomato, then amazing lamb chops and 'jewish' artichoke (ie fried), followed by desert of choice. I thought it was good value considering the quantity, and that there is no need to leave tip or pay taxes on top. Note hechers is 'chalak bet yosef'

2. Denzel is also excellent IMO, slightly lower class (and cheaper) food but good quality and easy to eat. I had kebabs and mushrooms, hamburgers also look really good. they also do takeaway. Same hechsher as above.

3. Carmel (milchik) was nothing special at all, though I had pizza (bad choice)

4. My Kafe has good gelato and snacks

5. Various kosher shops (eretz and others ) have good selection of groceries, you'll find whatever you want (great cheeses esp)

6. Geletaria Ecologica was OK, well located and clearly marked which gelato is parev and which are milchig (non-CY). note that this is not obviously kosher, until you look for Teudah. Maybe I didnt choose the best flavours but was not overly impressed. Note that cones + frozen yoghurt aren't kosher.

Work put me up at the Mariott, which is only few hundred meters from 1, 2 and 6. Hotel is fine, 4*, rather old fashioned. Around 30 minute walk or short meto to city center.
The other kosher places are approx 1-1.5 mile away in the opposite direction to city.

Any questions let me know, I will try to help.

Thanks for that helpful information. I have 2 questions, for you or anyone or may know:

1. Trying to decide whether (a) to stay in Varenna on Lake Como for 2 or 3 nights and travel in each evening to Milan for dinner by train (looks like 1 hour, 3 minutes via train to Milan Central Station, then a 10 minute cab ride to restaurants); or (b) vice-versa, stay at the Marriott Milan and travel in via train for day trips to Lake Como. I wish they had an UberEats/Seamlees type delivery but apparently they will not go that far, as much as I can ascertain. If you are still there, can you make inquiry on this conundrum. Any thoughts on this from anyone?

2.  Do you know how it is to stay at the Marriott for Shabbos and eat with Chabad? I heard that they have a Chabad minyan at the Marriott?

Bear in mind Lake Como is a big a place, so an advantage of staying in Milan would be being able to travel to different parts on different days. That being said, I don't think any food in Milano is worth a 3h roundtrip, and I would just buy preservable food on the first day in Milan.

I am also thinking that staying in Milan vs by Lake Como also has advantage of minyan for davening. What is the closest Shul to the Marriot, and morning Shachris time(s)?

I can't comment on either of these. Not sure about a minyan on shabbat. I think the hotel would be 'more or less' OK - no sensors in room, fridge seemed OK etc.
I doubt any of the restuarants will delivery, only option would be to send a taxi I think.
