What about going to Italy?

You need to be fully vaccinated?
My friend already had covid, and 1 vaccine, and has a doctor's note to that effect.  Is that good?  Or he'll need to quarantine when he gets there?

Just got back from Italy.

At jfk all they asked for was the cdc card and the Italian tracking form that needed to be filled out online beforehand.

On the trains they asked for cdc card along with train ticket.

Returning, I used the Abbot/Navica rapid test and had no issues.

If I have around 10 days in Europe

Should we spend 6 nights in MIlan  and 4 nights in Zurich, or more time in Switzerland?

Milan doesn't have much to see.
Lake Como on the same area is nice.
But if you're flying, Why stay go to North Italy?  Venice, Rome...

It also depends on what you're looking for in a vacation.
Switzerland is beautiful, peaceful.
Lake Como is similar.
Rome (and Venice) have more things to see and do.

I don't remember anything different.
But take careful pictures when you pickup your rental. And when you return it. So you don't get stuck paying for dents that were already on the car.

There is a kosher market called kosher paradise (something like that, it’s on Washington st). Also for a restaurant Denzel (near there) is an amazing place and not so expensive.

Things to see… if you can rent a car and go driving, the Swiss alps are less than an hour from airport. In the city I didn’t find much to appreciate but that’s up to you. Lake Como is less than hour and beautiful.

Just be aware that Ubers from mxp to city are bewildering amounts of money so renting a car would likely be a lot cheaper. Public transportation is ok but not sure if it’s good to get you to kosher areas while having time to do other things especially if you’re already landing in afternoon.
