Do not stay in milan that long! You will go crazy. Florence is an hour and a half away by train and well worth it.
If I'm renting a car does it pay to drive? How is the driving, parking and gas prices there? I'm quoted from Emirates' site $55 for 4 days, INCLUDING tax and fees!

Is it an automatic? Do you know how to drive stick?
Driving is fine but it's a three hour drive. Must pay for parking. It's not cheap. Gas is expensive like everywhere else in the world other than the US

id rather not drive its not worth the headache, the train is nice and easy plus its fast. If you book it in advance you could get it for 80 euros round trip per person.

Nope. Yup! :)
Only downside is that my wife can't take over at the wheel.
Google Maps puts Florence 3hrs away and Venice 2.5hrs away. Are they both worth visiting?
How do the costs/experience compare between driving and taking the train?

How would I book it in advance?
Would it make sense to do Milan-Venice-Florence-Milan, and stay in other cities each night?

you could do florence as a day trip easily since its only hour and half by train. Milan is basically northwest in italy, florence is south of there and venice is northeast. Depends how many days you have plus how much your wife can handle.

Just realized my arriving flight is in LIN ariport  :o !

Anyone know how to manage getting around from there?

I want to go to either Rome, Florence, or Venice from there and preferable stop for kosher food or quick visit to Milan first. Planning on taking train but thinking maybe I should fly?

Can anyone share a good location, neighborhood, and/or hotel to stay in Milan, Italy that is reasonably close to a shul? How about advice on kosher restaurants in Milan?

Thank you for making a new thread on something already discussed in length. If you would do a simple search you would find a thread that would answer all your questions. Thank you for playing.

I am thinking of going to lake como from Milan in the summer, does it make sense to rent a car for the day to drive there or should I just take the train?

Take the train. Fast, easy, and convenient.

make sure you can get north of Como (either by boat or public transport). Como looks dreary compared to the rest of the lake Como

Do night cert have black out dates?

There should be a thread here about buying cert, how much are they about?

How many points these dates?
