Buy a car in America and ship it here.

you have to contact a shipper, get the car to the port, and then get it through meches here. i can probably give you a contact info for a company that helps get it through the meches if and when you are ready for that

The answer is that normally itll cost about the price of the car in tax. However, it will cost even more to purchase the same car there, and some cars you cant even get.
If you are making Aliyah, the cost is greatly reduced, but still expensive.

AFAIK you could buy a car in Israel without tax so no need to bring from USA, I know someone that brought from america and he told me it's not worth it because when he has a problem he doesn't have who to talk to and he needs to pay for every little thing.
Even if after shipping cost it will still be around $5k cheaper.

I was actually looking here for a car dealer that could help me with the tax issue but no one wants to be bothered with it,if you know someone that knows about it please let me know.

My question is if I made an aliya before I had an american license if I still qualify.
