We purchases o/w tickets in J on TAP from TLV-MIA via LIS and got a very good deal of $1240 per ticket. I would never fly on TAP because all of the reviews have been terrible but since I read about the new A330-neo and I got a great price (at least I think so lol) I decided to give it a shot. The flight from TLV-LIS was fine. Planes are new but the J seats were like Premium Economy seats of the better airlines. LIS-MIA was on the new A330-neo. The seat were very comfortable, the staff was very nice and accommodating as of course there was no kosher meal for us although it was requested at time of reservation, they did try to help us in any way they could with fruit, etc., and the in-flight entertainment was excellent (as I depend on in-flight entertainment to keep me up to date with pop culture! lol). My only complaint is that you had to take a bus from the plane to the terminal and then again for the terminal to the gate for the connection which is always a pain. I would definitely fly them again especially if I had points on Star Alliance.

I don't know if I mentioned this before but anyways a couple years ago I had a flight round trip to Amsterdam with tap and I had to cancel it I due to health reasons and I called Chase since I used the Chase Sapphire card and they told me that I basically need to cancel the flight with tap and that tap gave me one year credit of $400 and that was the cost of the fight but what happened was they wanted to get I didn't use that credit and I wanted to get paid with the protection insurance and turns out that I needed to get a letter from tap claiming that that credit expired which it's supposedly did after a year and I called have and they never got me anything

I just after them but while I want to book a flight with tap and so my question is should I just call up and say hey you know you never sent me a cancellation about this credit so you either need to send me a cancellation letter or give me the credit or what. I actually did file a DOT complaint but never heard back

Anyone flew with them recently that can share their experience? Flying with them RT LGW-LIS-TLV with 2 kids. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

What advice are you expecting? Get on the plane, sit down, get off when it lands.

I mean what standard of service do they provide? What airline would they compare to? How are their KSML’s? What are the chances of cancellations/delays?

I’ve flown with them a month ago jfk to Zurich with a stop in Lisbon, I flew business and there is nothing to complain about if you get the new planes, the only drawback like someone mentioned before is the bus form the plane to the terminal.

I'm assuming you paid a super-premium price and so you want to know all that?
You buy the cheap tickets, say thank you to whatever they give you.

In any case I flew them in Business so I don't know if it really helps you but the service was the sort of decent but slightly falling short that you get on other European airlines, the food was unmemorable so I don't remember anything about it and our plane took off and landed an hour late.
Help you?

That is helpful, thanks.
The reason I’m flying with them is not because they’re cheaper, but because they’re one of the only airlines that have connections from gatwick to TLV (easyjet is cutting the route at the end of March).
I’m assuming from the sarcastic answers that I asked a stupid question so I sincerely apologize for that :)

You can ask whatever you want but most most of your questions don't seem to have a relevant outcome.
Is the service good? If I say no, will you cancel your tickets and book something else?
How's the KSML? If I say lousy will you switch your choice to vegetarian?
If I tell you they are often late, will you arrive at the airport later?

See what I mean? You can ask whatever you want but people tend to identify more when they can understand the relevance of the questions.

I'm looking to book TAP TLV-JFK in February.

Both flights show they'll be the A321NEO.

Some sites say business is an empty middle seat and others say it's a regular flatbed.

Anyone have experience &/or know which it is?

To be exact the flights are 2/26 TP1604 & TP209

TIA

seems like both flights are going to be a lie flight.
next time just continue booking your ticket till it allows you to choose seats.
