If you book on Priceline, Orbitz and Expedia, you can cancel for free up until the time of departure. By some airlines if you checked in online, you'll have to check out (not all airlines let you do it online) before canceling.
Do any airlines let you reverse your check-in, online?
If I book an airline ticket on site with 24 hour cancellation policy (such as Priceline) for the same day, can I still cancel without penalty? And until when?e.g. in my case I may need to be in Israel for emergency. So I want to book a ticket for 11PM flight tonight from EWR to TLV. But want to be able to cancel in case I don't need to go.
I know that on orbitz you can pay a fee which I believe is percentage based that allows you to cancel the flight even after the first 24 hrs, I think priceline has a similar plan
Yes, most non-US airlines have that option online.
I was booked same day with Expedia got to the airport late didn’t make it trough security in time so I just canceled and it was never charged to my CC
If you are able to cancel a same day ticket then just hand it over to a travel agent, instead of booking with expedia and the let the agent deal with booking you in etc...
