Can anyone please clarify? I have a Gold Coin, what would be my Best Option to do with it? Keep it for a Few Years and wait for the Price to Hike? or just sell it right away?

Itís a collectors item and a lot of this is speculative, nobody can tell you for sure what demand will look like in a few years. Oftentimes the hype spikes and demand tapers off after a while, but OTOH this is the lowest mintage ever for such a coin (a Gold Eagle).

Iím not buying but the value decreases significantly. A sealed box can be graded and potentially get a high rating from the grading agency which would make the coin very valuable. You canít get those same grades with an open box, thatís one of the factors the grading agency considers.

Which Grading Company do you Recommend?

Any idea why people donít seem to be getting this graded? Iím not seeing eBay sellers advertise grading on this.

Not at all. In the past there were pre-sales of PR70. It was based on an assumption that a certain number of coins would have that grading.

I wouldnt risk grading my coin. The risk of getting a 69 and devaluing the coin vs the potential an unopened box offers is just too great with the low mintage.

I agree. Bought at a high price. I figure a bank bonus like Citi requires me to put 15k in an account for a $400 return in 90-150 days. I can easily outpace that return in a much shorter timeframe with this coin at 10-12k. Its almost a no-brainer at 10-12k IMO.

NGC
PCGS is too strict and the premium commanded over NGC doesnt justify the risk of getting a 69

Pretty safe to say it wont go below what I paid. So speculation involves risk. I wont lose. So Im not speculating. I will make. Question is how much. And on that I am not speculating.

Are the silver ones worth grading?

Depending on how you sell it you have scamming risk.

Youíre buying gold at $12.5k? Safely based on what? Mintage and hype alone?
