My unsolicited business advice.
Food is great but so many stuff on the menu arent available.
But the biggest deterrent is: THE MASSIVE WAIT. At my local location I wait forever for them to make my food.
Its also done downstairs so I cant even see the spread and topping options for sandwiches or the salad options to choose from. I get it that they are shooting for upscale presentation but the losses outweigh the gains here big time. A nice menu on the wall wouldnt hurt either. Most of the clientele are aspirational foodies/gourmets we dont need a 5 star  michelin presentation for a cafe.

If there's no built-in expiration date, unclaimed GCs are a LIABILITY on the books!

The only way the liability gets reduced is when the GC is redeemed, or if it's wiped out (bankruptcy, or business closure).
Balance sheet, yes. Cash flow, not.

So bottom line is to ask for advice on DDF before opening a store. :P

Balance sheet, yes. Cash flow, not.

Obviously. Cash flow and balance sheet are two different things.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Exactly. Which is why I only find Patis valuable for anything that is ready to go (baked goods or salads in the refrigerator).

To remain in operation it is the cash flow that matters not the accounting on the balance sheet.

Or order online in advance.
Side note when I went this afternoon it was pretty empty and food was coming out quick

So most likely soon it will be worthless? Sad to see that so many yidden will be stayed with unusable gift cards when most assumed will be good for a long time.

Same place that Rabanut Jlm is the same as Rabanut Mehadrin Jlm?

Nuance is important folks.

Technically a small portion needs to be written off and counted as income once they are old ( maybe 3 years??)
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Just spent $400 at Lakewood this morning for 30 people.
Only issue is they are supposed to open at 8 and didn't open until 9 without any notification.
