Anyone been to Patis in Lyndhurst? What did you order/like there? Although everything I tried was good, personally I liked Zak better.

Had a DO there last week. Ridiculously amazing food.

Never been to ZTB so can't compare.

Tasted a nice variety of items.. while it’s certainly a great addition to this area, I don’t believe it comes even close to ZTB.

You referring to the breakfast items? Which ones in particular? Where was this DO arranged? I would have loved to join.

Ahh check the DO thread every now and then, but usually doesn’t work for me... this is almost in my backyard.

ETA It was found it.

I found the “Sticky danish” (pecans)  and “Honey halva pastry” notably good. They have many types of pastries (probably about 50) and they had free samplers/tasters of various pastries, which was nice as the pastries are unique combinations (eg chocolate pistachio). The atmosphere is like an elegant but casual coffee shop (Starbucks), and prices are like a cafe rather than a bakery. They also have coffee and sandwiches, as well as artisan breads. Perhaps more items too.

Their bread and little bagels were pretty good as well. I think they really need more seating though.

Officially opening to the public on Father’s Day, Sunday June 16th, Patis Bakery, the popular NJ-based brainchild of Chef Moses Wendel, will be opening on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.

Something Patis is opening where Izzy's Taqueria is currently located (next door to the original Izzy's BBQ addiction/smokehouse).

Yes, he's no longer involved. Left right before COVID.
