I was sensing sarcasm from Dan's post.

They already gave up wired headphones, so getting rid of a charging cable makes sense, however I believe the EU, and maybe a country in South America- though I don't remember which one- require that if a piece of technology is being sold, it needs to include the ability to charge itself. So they would have to include the charging brick or wireless charger that plugs in, and they won't do that.

How does their current offering (USB-C cable + iPhone 15) meet this requirement you’re suggesting is in place in those jurisdictions? I think you’re missing something.

Yup, and cables are $$ (with high margins), wireless isn't a cable they can sell. The 15 Max Pro can take some fancy video that could be saved directly to external storage (using USB-C), and also raw photos that could be piped directly to a computer for editing in realtime

I have a certain Israeli number that I sent text messages to when I had an Israeli SIM in my phone.
The Israeli carrier I was using forced me to use the local format. Now whenever I try to send an sms to that number from the US, the iPhone converts the number to a local Israeli format (starting with 0) even if I enter the entire number using international dialing format (+972...) resulting in me being unable to send text messages to that number.

Anyone have a solution for this?

Save to contacts with the American version or delete the old conversation might work

I’m not sure how USB-C is any different than the lightning cable in this regard, please explain.

Does it matter if they aren’t including a standard USB brick (like the lightning cables use) or a USB-C brick?

Long story short, iphone is activation locked. Do any of the 3rd party software actually work to remove it?

Can I have more than one voice activate Siri?
When I set up the Iphone (SE3) it got me to input my voice for Siri recognition and now it wont recognize DWs voice. We use it as an Ipod touch for around the house so we would really like everyone to be able to control it through Siri.

the only use case I set up for shortcuts was to send me an alert 30 minutes before sunset to daven Mincha so that’s nice. But haven’t gotten deep enough to think about what other automations I should build.
My background is salesforce where I build a lot of automation (flows etc. not straight code) so I’m familiar w the tool it provides me, I’m just not sure what to make of it

Since I use a Samsung I use their routines to turn on auto rotate for specific apps, have different amount of times the screen should stay on for, and different battery charging speed based on different factors. That's just the simple stuff. Using tasker I've made many cool automations some more useful / realistic then others.

Most recently made a way to log a call to Salesforce once a phone call ends. Gotta think of something that you find annoying or repetitive and create something. If you don't find it annoying you probably won't find it as useful.

this is the kind of post I was looking for bc it’s true if I can’t think of anything I need to automate I prob don’t need it, which is why I was looking to see what other users came up with that might decide I need as well
As for log a call to salesforce, well what do you know, I’m an admin in a law firm always looking for ways to automate the work for my case staff.
Are you having the phone log into salesforce on the phone itself and sending the info there? You’re sending an email ? I’m curious!
