I'm not sure.

I ended up restoring, and thank G-D the messages were backed up in iCloud.

Ok I was going to say that if you were able to, then there are programs that you can back up your phone that would work.

I never knew about this shortcut feature on iPhones. Apparently only iOS 14 and up. Does it work with a case on?

Cool, just turned off the shake to undo, ty. No back tap option on iPhone 11/iOS 13

Doesn't work on older phone models even if on iOS 14, it should work with a case.

My call logs keep disappearing. I only see from Friday. Anyone know why this may be happening?

Update iOS recently? The setting apparently can't be changed.

Check to see if calls from earlier are showing on iCloud. You can also check call logs with your phone carrier but that's annoying and will only show successful calls not missed calls or calls where you hung up before someone answered.

the idea is to see them on the spot not to have them on record somewhere on my carrier account

Updated to iOS 15, and the weather forecast high/low is backwards first is the night then the day weather. Super confusing and annoying. Any solutions to revert it

Hope you got it fixed by now, I had that issue with a new 8 plus, and went into an apple store, and they swapped it for a different one.

When it came out, maybe I should of said that, but what I meant to say, is that from my understanding, it's a defect, and doesn't have to do with the case or how you hold it.
Apple wasn't able to figure out what the issue was, so went to the next room, and called me, when they weren't able to hear me, they swapped it out on the spot.

Hard to believe they’d do the same now for an out-of-warranty iPhone 8...

Apple recently repaired my iPhone 7 (!) free of charge due to a known defect of “no service”.

I’d say it’s worth a shot.

Although you can’t really compare it to the no service issue which is officially recognized by apple as a known defect.
