Had some trouble getting through, but just got my very firm answer: BYOK.
Called a different kosher agency. They sent someone there and they were not happy with it. BYOK. They too won't go on the record though.

Also told me to watch out for AF/KL meals from AMS under R' Ralbag. Maybe we need a master thread for bad kashrus airline meals?
I wonder how we can best go about letting the airlines know they need higher standards?

Can you share agency?
Should we use HRC's famous (post Benghazi) line?
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

They don't want to come out officially against another hechsher. That's their call and I need to respect that request ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
It makes a lot of sense. Even CRC that has a list of reliable hechsheirm, does not say when a hechsher is unreliable they just don’t list them.
Being that there are many standards and levels in Kashrus most agencies wouldn’t want go explicitly on the record and say something is no good (they generally focus on listing their chumros and hiddurim without mentioning kulos and heteirom that others rely on). This is besides the fact that public spats between Kosher agencies would just devalue the entire industry.

How do you know it was a different kosher agency, we don't know which is the first one?

The stand of not publicly saying negative things about another Hechsher is totally understood.

For somewhat similar reason, I don't think a thread of "bad kashrus" would do any good. It's the education that people need to have, to assume by rule of thumb that a "Hechsher" isn't good, unless you know otherwise.

1. Use your imagination
2. Not fair to assume that people do their research for every airline.

Considering that
all politics aside, insiders seem to agree that most European kashrus certifications (with few exceptions) aren't as good/competent as US and some Israeli agencies.
This seems to be the local standard.

Therefore
It's the education that people need to have, to assume by rule of thumb that a "Hechsher" isn't good, unless you know otherwise.
You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used to start a religious discussion.

1. That's obviously not directed at me, just like my question wasn't directed at you. We're both old enough to know the answer.

2. It's not about fairness. Very relevant to this week's parsha, where the Torah takes the stand of giving the shorter list (kosher vs non kosher). The list of good/reliable Kashrus is (unfortunately) shorter than the reverse.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

So I flew LH F last week and I made a comment to the FA's and sent an email to LH and this is the reply:

........In the meantime, we have also received a reply back from our Frankfurt Catering Management Team and unfortunately all our kosher meals are Sohar for all our flights departing from Frankfurt and there are no plans to change in the near future. Rest assured that your constructive criticism has been documented for future reference.

We regret that we were not able to meet your expectations; however, it is our hope to serve you in the future under more pleasant circumstances.

Sincerely,

Anita Ayala
