Guidelines for Buying Jewelry online and Not getting Ripped Off
« on: September 15, 2011, 10:25:45 PM »
Anyone have any?
It's so difficult to know if you are being charged a fair price!
Any little thing can substantially change the price!

Which are the most honest websites to purchase jewelry from?

Thanks in advance!

I think Amazon and Costco both have very fair jewelry pricing.

Do you trust amazon on everything or you know to trust on jewelry. If it's the first what do you think of this:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002DMOY6O/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_2?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B00023T3IA&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0561MCX0R6B1S3KY0BG1

The truth is regardless of what you do and don't trust I am still curious on what you think of it?

No idea what you're point is.  Nor do I know if 192 ounces of mayo for $22.47 (11.7cpo ;)) is a good or bad deal.

Your right Dan, I didn't realize it's a pack of three.

However jewelry is something that tends to have inflated prices. I am around 47st very often and I know that random retail stores tend to rip people off big time, sometimes three times as much as the wholesale price! Perhaps Amazon is indeed good, I personally will not buy form anyone except a trusted friend or by a recommendation of a trusted friend.

Jewelry is best bought in person and you can't compare a photo to actually seeing it on oneself...and who doesn't know someone in wholesale? :)

True, but sometimes you want to buy a $200-$300 item and you don't want to have to "pull strings" for such a "petty" amount of money.
So you want to have a reliable website to be able to get what you need.

I bought this for my wife's last bday  Even prettier in person.
So, did I get ripped off?  There's always lifetime returns ;)

The problem with jewelry is that any thing, even a little as 1mm. can change the price $100 or more..
