Those fall into the same category as those that don't hold of other things that happen to work.

I once (when I was in Yeshiva) delved into this, spoke to mashpiim, etc. it is not so simple. Can’t remember everything I unearthed when I looked into it.

We all know the story of the guy who heard the Arizal's shmooze and went and sold his donkey who died and brought him back a treasure. But I don't understand why life insurance is any less a responsibility than a job, health insurance, a retirement plan, etc.

A family is looking to start a new Gemach. They have funding, but not much time or space for it. Any suggestions?

AFAIK there is only one petticoat gemach in Lakewood and she is looking to give it up. She only has a short time at nights for pickups and dropoffs, and they're not too expensive, although you do need some place to store it.

Definitely not against life insurance. Just learning a הוראה in עבודת השם from it.

I personally saw life insurance policies purchased from the Rossiya Life Insurance Company (pre-revolution) by the Friediker Rebbe, and a friend told me that he saw policies purchased in Vienna for the 3 daughters (don't know exactly what kinds of policies they were, as I didn't see them myself).

I can tell you from personal experience, that a few times I bought policies where I knew I could pay the premiums initially, but when it came to long term it required lots of בטחון and it definitely works.

Honestly, a gemach that pays for people to have life insurance. It should be mandatory, if you can’t afford it the gemach will pay for it.

A while ago I was thinking about a rent-a-sefer type of thing.

Basically going to the big yeshivas at the end of the zman and getting all the popular newish leftover seforim that get left there. Then renting out each Sefer for a dollar a month.

Obviously have the person leave a cc number in case of damage...

Might be an idea just I guess don't charge the dollar each month. As far as I know I don't think there's such a thing yet.

And also, areivim isn’t a Gmach of any sort. It’s a great thing but not a Gmach. My life insurance is at $22 a month.
Unfortunately, there are people that can’t afford that $28 a month. These are the people that would benefit from this Gmach

its generally speaking not $28 a month. thats the maximum in case somthing ch"v happens. its usually less - avg about $200 a year.

It is still more Tzedakah than insurance, I pay roughly $35/month for 1M in coverage.

That's what Capital Seforim does, he just sells them for cheap instead of renting or lending.
