Selling trade ins for flagship samsung phone
« on: February 13, 2019, 10:52:30 AM »
See this thread.

I thought it would be a good idea for people with eligible trade in devices to "sell" their trade in to people buying a flagship samsung phone. I'll start:

Selling $550 trade in phone for $500.

Why can't they buy a used/refurb s9 from eBay for under $350?

They can but run the risk of not getting full value due to condition, dirty/under contract, etc. and if Samsung rejects it you can be charged a fee.

super small risk imo. Most big sellers tell you condition etc if you happen to get one that comes bad return it before trying to send it to samsung.

you can still buy brand new unlocked for $450. Im not saying you cant sell yours and i was thinking of selling mine as well but i just don't see the value here

At $450, I’d buy from someone for $50 more and not worry about taking that risk. If they don’t accept your phone you won’t have enough time to return and try it again. And even if you did, that’s a huge hassle and you may be without money (and charged a fee) for a bit. This is a quick $50.
