Can someone help me by explaining to me why I need this? I have 2 zones (upstairs and downstairs) and a thermostat for each. I know via trial and error which temp setting works best for everyone (some rooms are always going to be slightly cooler or warmer). I have seven day programming for wake, sleep, leave, etc.
It seems that the sensors would have to be disabled anyway to make it practice for shabbos, so other than that I see two advantages; one, that I can set heat and a/c at the same time for those shabbosim where we are never sure if we should go for heat or a/c. Two, when we go on vacation we turn off the a/c so when we come back it’s stifling for the couple of hours it takes the system to bring the temp back down. Being able to turn the a/c on remotely before we arrive would be great.
Those dont seem to me to be enough to make the switch. Is there anything I’m missing? I’d love to have a good reason to make the switch. It’s a killer of a price....
