Isnt it true that Chase provides Primary coverage, but Amex does not?

you call amex and then they do it they put a hold of 20USD and then its the primary coverage and then ou play the shtickel by paying in a diff method……


Comments from the main site post, if God forbid one does get into an accident what are you going to do if one card has a hold for primary insurance while using different card to pay for the rental? are you going to tell silver car that you accidentally used the wrong card and to use the other card to charge it after the rental or do you only get charged after the rental and then call them up and say I gave you the wrong card I wanted to charge it on this card?

Beginning of rental use Amex (assuming u registered for Amex Premium Insurance) at the end when u return car if the car doesn't have damage then ask them to switch to a Sapphire card

Just spoke to a rep and seemed to say that it should work fine with silver car, she knew it as the rental company that only rents audi's .

 So you can add the benefit and only be charged when you take a rental.  18002639669

 But interesting enough, the card can be used to rent in israel but for the PCRC it does not work.

I stand corrected. 4 SilverCar rentals in 2018 did trigger the 24.95 charge. My last rental in 2019 didn't for whatever reason.

And I'm assuming you needed the the benefits it offered as you used the card for the rental, and not the method up above to avoid the charge?

CSR doesn't have as good coverage as Amex Premium, so why not use Amex for insurance and get the points/travel-credit with CSR?

Has anyone ever rented a silvercar as a local renter? The silvercar site says
If you're a local renter, additional credentials may be necessary to rent a Silvercar, including a utility bill and work verification. Please contact the location you plan on renting from ahead of time to confirm the additional credentials you will need to provide at the time of pick up.
Any experience with this?

They reactivate it automatically.
