Hello,

I won a competition at work and the prize was a dream vacation - first class tickets for me and my wife and 6 nights in a top tier resort anywhere in the world. Sounds great, right? Well, it turns out that there's a $10K limit.. Quite disappointing considering how the competition was hyped but it is what it is and I wouldn't be a good Jew if I didn't complain about this.
So, I could really use some help or advice on how to maximize the $10K.
We're in the SF Bay Area so flights out of SFO/SJC would be ideal. We would like to stay at an adult only resort and would probably opt for economy tickets rather than first class and spend more money on a better resort. Thinking about some time after Pesach, maybe late May or early June. I've been looking at resorts in Bora Bora with over the water bungalows but is that even feasible with my budget? Also, I have some airline, hotel and UR points I might choose to spend to enhance the vacation.
Any ideas/thoughts/advice would be greatly appreciated. I need to make sure the wife is happy!

My personal opinion. you are going to be miserable trying to figure out how to make sure you "use" every last penny. Figure out a place you actually want to go and then make it work.
