Upgrading to Suite with Jetsetter

Does anyone know if you can use a hyatt upgrade (from Diamond membership) on a Jetsetter reservation?

I'd imagine it'd be the same chances as being upgraded with a PL reservation, except here your chances are bigger because you're a DM.

Also, as has been mentioned in other threads, your chances at being upgraded are probably larger at checkin then confirmed ahead of time.

With a confirmed upgrade instrument you should be able to call the hotel and see if they will agree to accept it.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Makes sense, since it'll save them the Jetsetter commission (but IMHO it's morally problematic because you're jipping Jetsetter of their commission)

How is that any different from price matching in general?

Darn! i already booked it on Jetsetter... and I'm only a few nights away from achieving the 12 nights required to maintain diamond status. Anyone have any luck canceling Jetsetter? I booked it on a starwood card.
