Exchange shoes from Amazon?

My wife recently bought a pair of shoes from Amazon.com. She was nervous to buy without trying them on first, but I told her Amazon has a great return/exchange policy, since I had seen Dan recommend shoes here from them before.

However, we got them and they are the wrong size... and there is a surprising lack of information on Amazon's site to exchange anything!

The only information I could find was regarding a return, after which they would charge a hefty restocking fee.

Am I missing something? We don't want to return them, just get the right size!

well to avoid the shipping charges, you can also tell them that the shoes is not true to size.

You would otherwise have to pay shipping? Lame- shoes are often not consistent with size across brands, how do they expect to sell anything like that?!

I thought I read somewhere that they make it easy to exchange to encourage people to buy. If I had known beforehand that we would lose money just trying on the shoes, I would never have encouraged the Mrs. to do it this way!

the deal is with endless which is owned by amazon
i think amazon has a restocking fee
but if u call and complain that its not what you wanted they would probably do it for free

People should remember that things you buy on Amazon are not necessarily sold from Amazon. Items sold from Amazon have an amazing return policy; items purchased from 3rd parties can sometimes be a pain to return.

Amazon's e-mail customer service is unbelievable efficient. I've dealt with them on numerous occasions and have only good things to say about it.
