The shabbos app works just fine on the current phones. A shabbos car OTOH, now we’re talking

I've heard from "reliable sources" that a car on shabbos is ok as long as your seat belt is closed, because then it's like you're wearing the car.

What don't we have?
For shabbos/yom tov, we have lamps and lights, and even bulbs with a little cover you slide over and can turn it off, just waiting for the switch to be able to turn the bulb off without having to stand on a chair or where ever to turn the cover around the bulb.

Pesach- Yummy ( ::) ) Fresh baked cakes and cookies, and yes even the fresh bread and rolls and hot dog buns. (I would think the bakery would be closed for peasch but now they stay open selling there gebrucks and non gebrucks cakes.

Yup same reason you can shut the door in your home because it's connected to the ground so it's not a problem of boneh and soisar.
Just keep the car running from before shabbos with the lights on and a good cd playing, and now you can drive to shul, go to all the simchos, and u should be good to go.

Only if it's a Tesla, and pressing the pedal is grama.
A gas car you can't press the pedal because then itll be like adding oil to a lamp (or tilting it).
I'm not who you think I am.

Your saying this with sarcasm while you give it a few years and you won't believe it.

But on a serious note lihalacha there is nothing wrong with something that has no issur at all and 100% permissible to do, for example eating cake and cookies on pesach which are not chometz or turning on a light on shabbos which has no issur at all.
And now opening bottles in a permissible way, it's the same for example if we only knew of toilet paper that was in a roll  without the perforated sheets and now all the sudden someone came out with preforated shabbos tissues of toilet paper no need to have to rip it before shabbos.

Bh that there's new ways for one to enjoy a shabbos without being oiver on any issurim.

Just preprogram your Tesla to open the door, drive you to the preprogrammed destination, and open the door for you.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

By that logic Kitniyos might never have been forbidden. (Not advocating to start banning more then what has already been banned)
There are many times where there is no inherent issur, however due to appearance or misapplication by others viewing, that certain items or action have been forbidden.
I am not even getting into “vedaber dovor” or “Zilusa d’shabbos”...

You are correct. As long as there is an eruv. See example below

On a visit to EY I once heard a Halacha radio program where callers would call up to ask Shaalos from a Moreh Horaah. A yungerman called and asked about a situation where his wife might go into labor on Shabbos, but prefers a more distant hospital, and in addition needs/wants her mother to be along with her. Amongst the various responses given to various details and followup questions was that the Nissan Leaf (or it's Renault brand equivalent) doesn't involve דאורייתא. IINM that was around before Tesla came about.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Tesla is the oldest 'modern' electric vehicle. Maybe he meant it as a stand in the for EV (like Kleenex for tissues).

You can still have a problem of uvda d'chol.

R Moshe has a famous tshuva on shabbos clocks called “zillusa dishabbos” meaning even if it avoids any technical halachic problem it can still be assur because of “zillusa dishabbos”. If I remember correctly he was referring to shabbos timers in general (it should be noted that he differentiated between different instances and permitted in certain applications.)

The accepted minhag is not like Rav Moshe regarding shabbos timers...
