What cuts of meat should he order?
If you have the money and freezer space, get a whole side. Assuming it's a better price that way and a great price over all. Also, since you don't always have access to meat, you should probably get a lot.
With a side, you'll get to try out different cuts and have variety in your menu.
Another way to decide: Look at your menu / make a menu and see what types of meat you tend to use and in what quantities.
