Not sure about your first question.

Membership is for 1 year until the end of the month of the 1 year anniversary. The latest you can sign up is 12/1/19 and have until 12/31/20.

The free WeWork membership is for one time only. It doesn't renew for free every year. You can sign up for paid membership after the free year is up.

I am interested in buying but I read that after signing up on the first visit you have to bring your Platinum Card and photo ID to get your initial we work card. How does one get around that step?

This is what I'm trying to figure out as well... And I'd be a seller. If you can figure it out, let me know. Obviously, those who are in the know here are keeping it a secret. WeWork has enough cash to last through the first quarter of next year, so these memberships should be good for at least 6 months... Probably will make it a year given how bankruptcy court works. Just want to make sure I'd be selling something of value, and not committing a mekach taut.

It's very simple, you don't actually have to do that.
