In Belz, "The Ruv" refers to the Belzer Ruv.

I'm not a Belzer so he's the Belzer Rebbe to me.
Obviously not talking about inner circle talk, which I would assume would not be in English, so they would also not refer to their leaders as "The Rebbe".
Why don't you try a Google search, or just ask around (someone NOT from your inner circle, though I have a hunch that even your inner circle might concur) who do the words "The Rebbe" without any qualifiers or adjectives refer to?
So you're differentiating between "The Rebbe" and "Der Rebbe??? Please! Though I've not had the pleasure to be aquainted with any, I doubt that in Israel its anything other than "HaRebbe" in hebrew speaking Chabad circles
All a Google search proves is that Lubavitch has a much greater online presence than any other chasiddus, especially since the first result who is not "The Rebbe" is the Bostoner Rebbe who has how many chassidim? Satmar, Viznitz, Gur all have exponentially more chassidim and stay away from the net.
I'm not anti Lubavitich, just this is a example of believing your own propaganda, the more I say "The Rebbe The Rebbe" the more it means that others see him as "The Rebbe"
