Is it really possible to say every word in the tiffilah in the amount of time they do it?

Yes
No,impossible.
Every other word.
Thats why I daven nusach askenaz.
I end up skipping it because I would be the last one in the shul.

I never understood how when it comes to this tiffilah in davening ,it seems they are finished before they even started.
I'm just starting they're already finished.
Is it just me or it a common practice that when it comes to the last tiffilah in daVening the ADHD kicks in?

Or is it that people say it so often that they can rattle it off really fast which seems like they're skipping every other word?

Yes the mishna berura talks about this tiffilah and explains that if one misses one of the ingredients, one is chayiv miysa, but over there goes on to explain that it doesn't apply....

And then when you're at the amud and say it all, you can feel everyone going "nuuu" with their eyes...

+1. This and the last bracha of Hallel. Somehow every chazzan ever can say that last bracha at least double as fast as I can.

As a chiyuv once told me "until borchu, no matter how slow I go I'm waiting for the minyan to catch up. After shemonah esrei, no matter how fast I daven, they're all ahead of me."

The key is to daven out loud the entire Davening at a decent pace. You'll invariably have people with you, and no need to check on the minyan status.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

I guess it becomes like ashrei to some people.

And tachnun I have the same problem
With tachnun I realized just lately it's a specific person who usually finishes on mon/thursday before I'm halfway done, I came to conclusion he only says every third or 2nd word.

Something I never understood. Every shul ever, no matter the background rushes by
B"H I'm not the crazy one around here. It's good to feel normal again. ;).

Not every shul but most. Also Aleinu
Yes aside for the young Israel minyan, then they make me feel like I skipped half of it, as I'm never the one waiting I'm always the one falling behind. :)

And then when you're at the amud and say it all, you can feel everyone going "nuuu" with their eyes...
Lol, very true.
I usually try to daven at a normal paced speed where noone should be complaining, and if there's is one or two nut jobs I just let them be and finish the davening like a mentch.
(I don't like a slow minyan either but not where they say only the 2nd word for each tiffilah).

+1. This and the last bracha of Hallel. Somehow every chazzan ever can say that last bracha at least double as fast as I can.
It seems it's when there's a very long tiffilah and finally after all the singing and shaking of the lulav they feel the urge to fly through it.
Won't even start with Alainu where sometimes the chazzon just says the last paragraph without saying the body of the text of alaynu, a very beautiful tiffilah the very last one and unfortunate how many skip it or rattle it off like it's a burden on them.

As a chiyuv once told me "until borchu, no matter how slow I go I'm waiting for the minyan to catch up. After shemonah esrei, no matter how fast I daven, they're all ahead of me."
ADHD takes time to kick in.
Time for containers of Adderall, Ritalin to be placed in the shuls.

The key is to daven out loud the entire Davening at a decent pace. You'll invariably have people with you, and no need to check on the minyan status.
Like most sefardic minyanim.
And those who are in a rush leave early.

The average person speaks around 150 words per minute but many can go much higher (auctioneers can do as much as 400 words per minute). How many words are in תחנון and אין כאלקינו ?

I have long contended that the רבש"ע enjoys those better than the Ashkenazic ones.

Whoever wrote about davening ashkenaz missed the boat. All of the areas where you are having issues would be better off if you davened sfard.

I have this with ברכי נפשי. I will never finish before the chazan no matter how fast.

Definitely true with עלינו as well. If you make sure to say every word, even as fast as possible, the chazan will always finish first.
If you don't care why would you comment?

While that's quite entertaining, in the past I've found salvage auctions (where companies went out of business and their office assets were sold) extremely entertaining. There were two entertaining sides, watching a good auctioneer at work, and then sometimes you got some good bidding going (often where you feel bad for people bidding way over the value of the item sold).
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Daven in a yeshiva and you won’t have these issues. Many non yeshiva guys daven in a yeshiva because of these problems. I guess for many the times don’t work out...

Meh. 90% of yeshivos don’t daven too fast. The problem is that lots of yeshivos are too slow for the average person.
