+1. I might have to stay home for pesach, would be much easier for a wiki than having to read through the whole thread.

A frum wholesaler opened a special website where he is selling his upscale party goods (plastic cutlery, etc.) at wholesale prices (but no wholesale quantities required) with free shipping if you spend $99.

This is a helpful resource, but first, read this thread about shopping local. If your local store cannot service you, then resort to online shopping. Or use this online list to help you plan for local shopping.

Is there a clever way to solicit likes without sounding like a classless wannabee?

A stand kitchen mixer for cakes/baked goods (you could buy a cheap one like sunbeam dont need a heavy duty one like kitchenaid)

A food processor for kugels

Get new oven racks for pesach. If you self clean your oven and leave the racks in it will become harder to slide in and out of the oven.

On that note many ovens break if you self clean. Ask Rov if there is ways around this (500 for a few hours). If you have a double wall oven and need to self clean definitely do it at separate times (and open a window).

The St moritz oven spray is amazing but be CAREFUL. Can cause burns.

Get a sink insert if you have stainless steel sinks so doesnt scratch the sink

I have a small toaster oven and fridge that I use for chometz once we change over so the kids can eat (will prob change motzie shabbos before yom tov this year) and leave it in dining room

We are a family of 6 (2 adults 4 kids) and we used 7lbs of matzo last year. Last year there was no shabbos chol hamohed but we did have guests/family for a seder and other meals which probably (definitely?) wont happen this year. So I assume around 7lbs again. (Rather have too much then too little!)

A bottle of wine equals a bit more than all 4 cups. So a bottle of wine a person per night.

Definitely talk to your Rov regarding how to clean your kitchen (you might be a lot more machmir than you think).

I cannot stress enough how important it will be to discuss any chumros (including those due to minhagim) with a Rov. This year is a true sha'as hadchak.

I have no clue. I haven’t heard any crazy pesach stories from my grandparents.
Either way, what are the chances we won’t be able to go to away to our parents for pesach ? I can imagine there will be a Kol koreh from r Chaim kanievsky not to go away because that’s what his gabbai put in front of him...

I tell my wife there is no concept in halacha of "cleaning" for Pesach, only searching for chametz. Cleaning is only necessary in places that might come in contact with food on Pesach, and to the extent cleaning is necessary to make searching possible.

Agree?
If you don't care why would you comment?

Agree?
But in place that "machnisim bo chometz" -  places actually used for chometz, like the kitchen, you need to 'search' for very long,  while holding a scouring pad and cleanser.
