A ladle - yes.
To be considered al ha-aish as even meluban - not so sure
Why wouldn't it be?

I used ladle as a kli rishon example.
Not sure why covered fire wouldn't be considered kli rishon al ha'aish. Pot on a blech is not. A kli rishon al ha'aish?
I always understood his chidush to be that the element IN the water is considered like even meluban

I don't think he is saying a chiddush at all. It being al ha'aish IS an even meluban. Why would this be needed?

Because the water poured OUT of the kettle. At that point it's not al ha'aish, so you need even meluban. It's a chidush to say that something that was in place before the water poured should be considered like even meluban that reheated the water after it's poured.

Even with even meluben the poskim struggle why it is considered kli rishon mamesh, they say the fact that the stone makes it bubbling when reaching the surface can render it so. It boils down to the metzius of the kettle if it is still bubbling when reaching the surface.

It is still pouring from the even meluban which also is not aish itself.

Isn’t the whole svara of even meluban that it’s considered aish?

I would need to look it up again but my recollection is that it is a heat source but not the fire itself.

Not our first time making Pesach, but first year I've decided I just can't drink instant coffee on Pesach.  What ground KLP coffee is best?
44/50, 46/63

buy coffee beans with the husk. Separate the husk and roust the beans in a popcorn machine ( the hot air from the machine will flow out the husk). Buy a grinder.  ;D

I would recommend purchasing before pesach. It very conceivable that a mashehu of chametz can be mixed in based on experience with KVH certified coffee roasters.  Even worse some roasters are now infusing beans with bourbon or other items and then roasting. That would make all beans roasted in that roaster , problematic

The OU always says any OU coffee (not flavored or decaf) can be used on pesach.

There are quite a few with oup/okp
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

I am guessing that the difference here is how it is done industrially vs smaller shops. Is that the case @moko ?

I'm talking about large industrial roasters. OU doesn't seem to differentiate, regardless
